Screenings of the films ‘Shores of Silence’, ‘Vanishing Giants’ and the ‘Timeless Traveller’ were organized by the government of Assam in partnership with Earth Matters Foundation.
The films made a huge impact on hundreds of school children and citizens. Schools and individuals alike committed themselves to forming a North–East chapter and initiating conservation efforts under the guidance of EMF.
More recently the Chief Minister of Assam, Mr. Bordoloia has shown interest in a project involving children across Assam to create a Tiger Protection Force.
Other clubs have also been formed in places like Junagadh, Orissa, Jaisalmer, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Dehradoon, Chattisgarh, Goa, Mumbai, Jaunpur, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Chennai, Kerela, Coimbatore, Gorakhpur, Bandhavgarh, Ranthambore, Punjab, Andaman Islands etc. |
